Excellent place to have dinner on the water, go for just drinks and the dessert is fantastic. Upstairs has the best view and you should make a reservation! The food is amazing! Our waitress was great! The young people doing the seating were less than to be desired as it was very obvious they were over whelmed and over done with tourists. Thankfully the experience was salvaged after we were seated.

Delightful restaurant with excellent food. Each appetizer was delicious, each entree was prepared with great attention to detail and spiced beautifully. Even the fresh made bread came with not just butter but oil and hummus. Haddock was the best I ever had. Service was prompt, professional and pleasant. 2nd floor restaurant has lovely views of the Venice Inlet by the jetties. Downstairs is less formal with more budget friendly options. Reservations are a must upstairs.

We had lunch today on the porch. It was a typical hot Fl day, but we were under cover, and they had the fans going, which made it comfortable. We were seated at a table facing the inlet. Beautiful view. Our waitress was excellent and attentive. The food is always good at the Crows Nest. This is always a favorite destination when we go to Venice. It's well worth the hour drive.

Fantastic place for some fresh seafood after a day at the beach. The view from the upstairs outdoor patio was amazing. The fried grouper was cooked perfectly and the raw oysters were delicious. We will definitely return

I stopped by Crows nest as I was craving oysters for my bday. I sat in the bar in the downstairs tavern. The Coldwater oysters were delicious , painkiller was strong and delightful, tuna entree was alright, good, but not the best I ve had (will opt out for a different entree perhaps next time, or will just have more oysters : )). When I was talking to other patrons at the bar, the bartender overheard it was my bday, so she brought out a slice of key lime pie. Sooo nice of her , and it was yummy. Looking forward to other visits to this lovely spot on the water in beautiful Venice, FL.

Our family recently celebrated our dad's 90th birthday on a Sunday evening (4:30) upstairs in the dinning room. 9 of us. The food was great and the service exceptional. Our dad is 90 but looks and acts like a much younger person. He totally enjoyed the experience. Our waiter was the best I've had in a long long time. So polite and completely on top of his game. The hat was a b-day gift from his grandson who came up from Costa Rica. (Dad would never wear a hat in a restaurant). This was the 3rd dinner we experienced at the Crows Nest and we've ALWAYS enjoyed the service and food. One negative, my wife and I got there early and wanted a drink downstairs. The greeter was so nasty, I almost canceled the reservation. What a sour puss. Cooler heads prevailed and the two bartenders were fantastic.
